Wildlife-friendly Farming.
With a focus on the UK, I’ll write about what farmers can do to help wildlife, and how we might best support them.
Rewilding.
We need to spare more land for wild nature. How can we make more space available in the UK, and how should we nurture wildlife as it re-assembles on space we give it?
Tropical Nature Reserves.
Most species are found in the tropics. How can we best save endemic and Globally Threatened species? Tropical Nature Reserve (TNR) networks are one highly effective approach.
About me…
I’ve worked in UK and international wildlife conservation for nearing three decades, Including stints with the RSPB, BirdLife International, Plantlife International, the World Land Trust, BugLife and Environment Agency, as well as doing postgraduate stuff at University of East Anglia and Exeter University, where I give the odd lecturer. As I write this, in late 2023, I’ve departed on a voyage into the choppy waters of nature book writing and will soon enter the torrid zone of charity founding and management. Wish me luck….
